Electronic Submission:   If you wish to submit electronic ads to The Annealer Magazine, please adhere to the following guidelines (your ad may not be accepted if you do not follow these guidelines).

1.  INCLUDE A HARD COPY OF YOUR AD - Please send a hard copy of your ad as well as your electronic file to The Annealer Magazine.  Ads may not be accepted if they are not accompanied by a hard copy.   Address and instructions will be emailed to you upon purchase of ad space.

2. FILES ON DISK - We can accept CD or DVD - this is our preferred method to receive your files.

3. E-MAILED FILES-  Instructions will be emailed to you once you have reserved your ad space.  In the subject line of your ad, please put the words "ad submission."  Include your e-mail address, name, and daytime phone number so we may contact you should we have any questions.  (Remember, you must also mail a hard copy).

4. FILE FORMATS- All color/greyscale files must be at least 300 dpi.  All black and white (line art) files must be at least 600 dpi (1200 dpi is preferred).  All color ads must be in CMYK format.  We can accept the following file formats (we do not correct/re-size electronic files - this must be done by the person submitting the ad):  

    ADOBE PDF files - Recommended file format.  We encounter the fewest problems with this file format.  Be sure you embed all fonts.

    JPG files also accepted.

     WE DO NOT ACCEPT MS Word, Power Point, Word Perfect, .bmp, or .gif files.

Graphic Design services are available for a fee through our preferred Graphic Artist, please contact us for more information.

5. PHOTOGRAPHS - High quality digital photographs.  Digital photographs must be at least 300 dpi, and must be at least the size that it will be in the finished publication.   We can adjust digital files to make them smaller, but cannot make them larger, therefore, please do not edit your photos.  Send us the original photo file from the camera.  If any modifications/adjustments need to be done, we will perform those adjustments.

If the photographs is copyrighted, a signed copyright release must be included with the photograph.

6. AD SIZE (W x H) - Please make sure the size of your ad meets the specifications for the publication,  We do not resize ads.  If your ad bleeds, please add .125" bleed on all sides that bleed.

7. FILE NAME - DO NOT name your file "AD," "Magazine Ad," "Half-Page Ad,"  "Annealer Ad," etc.  Name the file that it reflects the name of the person/company who purchased the ad (i.e. if you submitted payment via paypal, credit card or check, please list the paypal id, name on credit card used and/or name appearing on check).  Due to the high volume of electronic submissions, if they are all named "Ad," we will have no way to keep track of them.  Name the file something corresponding with the customer who purchased the ad.  If the ad is incorrectly named, it will be deleted from our system.

Since ad space is limited to only 25% (or less) of the magazine, please contact us to ensure availability.  Our ad space is sold on a first come- first serve basis.  If the space is still available, we will send you an invoice which will be your confirmation of the availability of your desired ad space.    Remember, payment is the only method which will ensure your ad space is reserved; simply requesting availability will not reserve your space for more than 24 hours.  If you have questions regarding any of the ads or ad services, please contact us before sending your ad request. 

Advertising (written magazine):  Production charges may be billed if applicable.   Changes and/or cancellations must be made in writing.   No cancellations will be permitted after closing date.  The Annealer Magazine, Editor and staff are not responsible for either the content or the opinions expressed within paid advertisements, or for any errors they may contain.  Nor do we endorse any particular product or business.  Articles reflect the views of the writer and are not necessarily the views of The Annealer Magazine.  Publisher reserves the right to reject any advertisement deemed unsuitable for publication.
